They tell me,

“Trust God.”

But not with shaking hands,

grades slipping,

friendships fading,

and prayers that feel like they hit the ceiling and fall back down.

They don’t tell you how hard it is;

when you’re waiting

and everyone else is moving,

when you do right

and still lose people.

What I’ve learnt though is,

Trusting God is choosing prayer

when doubt is loud,

It’s trusting He’s not late but intentional.

Not silent,

just teaching me to listen.

Maybe faith as a teen

isn’t having it all together,

maybe it’s choosing God

while you’re still breaking.

It’s trusting Him.

Regardless.
