New to the Constitution?

Start with one topic, not the whole document.

Try fundamental rights, citizenship or Parliament. A section is a numbered part of the Constitution about a particular subject.

  1. Find a topic in the app

    Use search or browse the chapters, then open a section that interests you.

  2. Read a little at a time

    Check which edition you are reading. The source wording is the constitutional text; an explanation is a separate reading aid.

  3. Tap “Explain this”

    Choose Plain English for a simpler explanation, Example for an illustration, or Words for help with terms. Return to the source wording to check the details.
